The Seer of Death
THE SEER OF DEATH
I am death,
What a lark!
I feed on emotional death,
As it seeps out and gnaws at my fingertips,
Like cat teeth,
I plunge into a pool of souls,
One in a million,
Lost soldiers,
Terrify me not,
I am the soft wind echoes,
The howl,
The moon,
A river bed of sound and silence,
Meticulously counting headstones,
Cackling crows,
I see death,
Cassandra lives through me,
The fall of her people,
Tribes of merry folk,
Who foretell death,
But in such a way,
Like cycles that never break,
I am Death's messenger,
I see the Tunnel before the dying,
And I shout:
"Turn Away!"
But nothing stops Death,
She opens her arms and waves you in,
Magnetic firefly show,
And out goes the lights,
As dark sweeps you to Eternal Sleep.
I am death,
What a lark!
I feed on emotional death,
As it seeps out and gnaws at my fingertips,
Like cat teeth,
I plunge into a pool of souls,
One in a million,
Lost soldiers,

Meticulously counting headstones,
